WHS rodeo club wraps up fall season

WYOMING – The Wheatland High School rodeo club wrapped up the fall season but will pick up again for the spring season in April. Three team members earned a place on the event leader board, as recorded on the Wyoming High School Rodeo Association’s website, whsaa.org.
Katie Miller, Madison McIntosh, and Rylee Griffis are all on the event leaders listing after six weekend rodeos this season. Miller is standing in 13th place in barrel racing with 14 points, and 18th in breakaway calf roping with 10 points. McIntosh is in 17th in Barrel Racing with eight points, and 30th in breakaway roping with three points; Griffis is in 25th place in barrels with four points and 17th in pole bending with eight points.
In the barrels this season, Miller earned one point from her run in barrels at the Laramie rodeo, seven in the Wheatland rodeo, and six in the Rawlins rodeo. McIntosh placed in Laramie and Riverton for two and six points. Griffis earned two points each day in the Wheatland rodeo.
In breakaway, McIntosh earned one point in Laramie and two in Wheatland.
In the poles, Griffis earned five points in Riverton and three in Rawlins.
