CASPER – In a tight scoring matrix in barrel racing at the Casper high school rodeo on May 17, Madison McIntosh scored 16.916 behind Abigail Olson of Sheridan, who took first place with a 16.085. Rylee Griffis ran the barrels in 17.840. Day two saw McIntosh running her pattern in 17.012 and Griffis in 17.686.
Rylee Griffis earned two points for her ninth-place finish in goat tying with 8.790. Hadley Thompson of Yoder won the event with a score of 6.550 on day one. Day two saw Griffis earn five points with 8.030 seconds, good for sixth place behind Gillette’s Rickie Jo Rourke for her time of 6.950.

McIntosh earned two team points in pole bending with a time of 22.152, again behind first-place finisher Olson with a time of 20.193. Day two saw McIntosh with a time of 26.955 behind Sundance’s Tessa Sanderson with a time of 20.375.
Jacob and Caleb Hyche received two points each for their 10.880 time in team roping on day one. Duo Cade Thar (Rozet) and Hazen Camino (Buffalo) won the event with a time of 6.780.
Before heading into rodeos over Memorial Day Weekend, Madison McIntosh was listed as number 11th in the all-around event leaders with 75 points earned in barrel racing and 41 in pole bending, according to the leader board on the Wyoming High School Rodeo official website, www.whsra.com. Rylee Griffis has accumulated four points in barrels and 10 in goat tying; Katie Miller has earned 4 points in Breakaway roping; Jacob and Caleb Hyche have earned eight team roping points and Jacob Hyche has earned an additional four points in tie down calf roping.
