CHUGWATER – One athlete competed for Prairie View Community School in Chugwater at the 1A/2A east regional track meet this weekend in Sundance.
Ethan Van Why was the Champion of the 1600-meter run for the 1A boys East Regionals in Sundance this weekend. His time was 5:18.02, his season-best run. Van Why shaved four seconds off his previous season best time, edging out competitor Jared Nelson from Hanna-Elk Mountain, who came in on his heals with a 5:19.73.
Van Why also placed sixth in the boys 800-meter run with another season best time of 2:18.61. Southeast's Kannon Tippetts won the race, clocking 2:15.17.
Van Why will complete in the 1A boys 800-meter run at the state meet this coming Friday and the 1600-meter run on Saturday.
