WHEATLAND — The Old Grads welcomed the class of 1984 this year as the newest “inductees”; let’s call them the “youngest Old Grads class” for 2024, as the other classes honored this year were 1944, 1954, 1964, and 1974.
Classmates enjoyed a silent auction with artistic items proffered by local and anonymous artisans and vendors. Other donations by area merchants and individuals provide WHS senior student scholarships, and the Old Grads committee has awarded eleven $1000 scholarships over the past six years. These donations keep the spirit of WHS alive and create connections between Old Grads and current high school students.
DJ Majik, also known as Justin Herdt, provided a fun photo booth complete with props and backdrops where classmates of all ages goofed off and cheesed it up for “class photos”. DJ Majik also acted as emcee during the event.
On Saturday, the Old Grads committee hosted a lunch and annual meeting at the beautiful WHS gymnasium and commons area.
