Wyoma Lucille Baker, 82, passed away Friday, March 19 at the University of Colorado Medical Center in Aurora, Colo.
Wyoma Baker was born on Saturday, June 25, 1938 the daughter of James Otis and Hazel Lucille (Curtis) Valentine.
Wyoma was reared and educated in Wheatland and graduated from Wheatland High School in 1956. She worked and operated the ranches in Antelope Gap and Goshen Hole areas. For a little while she worked for the Whalen Dam irrigating but, decided she liked the ranching life better. She then went to work for the Services for Seniors as a cook until she retired.
Some of her hobbies included doing hook rugs, reading, playing table games, and word search puzzles.   She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene and Antelope Gap Grange.
Wyoma is survived by her daughter, Karla Baker, of Wheatland.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Otis Valentine on Aug. 25, 1977; mother, Hazel Lucille Valentine on July 2, 1998; and brother, Glen Valentine on May 29, 2009.
A memorial to the Service for Seniors; 1605 Sixteenth Street; Wheatland, WY 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
