Wilhelmina Etta “Willie” Adams, 88, passed away Friday, Oct. 30 at her home in Wheatland.
Willie Adams was born in Wheatland on Thursday, Nov. 12, 1931, the daughter of Charles Frederick and Maude E. (Walker) Schreyer.
Willie was reared and educated in Wheatland where she lived most of her life. Willie married Lloyd Nordstrom in 1950. Together they operated a custom harvesting business in Washington until 1983. In the off-season they operated a custom trenching business in Wheatland.
Willie owned and operated the ceramic shop, even hosting school field trips for the kids there. She sold it in 2008.
She married Lloyd Adams on Oct. 4, 1986 in Wheatland.
She enjoyed family above all and was considered everyone’s mom and grandma. Willie had a deep love for friends and family.
Hobbies were yardwork, gardening, and crochet and was very artistic. She was a hard worker, and was never without a job.
Willie is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Lloyd Nordstrom on March 21, 1984 and Lloyd Adams on July 17, 2005; three brothers, Frank Schreyer, James Perdue, and baby Charles; and three sisters, Francis (Perdue) Schirmer, Shirley (Schreyer) Reed, and Mildred (Schreyer) Brecht.
Family and friends may call at Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel on Friday, Nov. 6 from 2 to 6 p.m.
Graveside services will be held in the spring. Inurnment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland.
