Toby (TJ) Pat Hamilton

Posted

Toby, better known as TJ to his friends, passed away on June 8 in Cheyenne due to health complications. Toby was a tinker of sorts and always had his hand in some project or another.  He was a skilled artist, although few were blessed enough to see his work. He was also a master when dealing with electronics, especially older radios or music paraphernalia. Although he appeared to have a rough exterior, he had a kind heart and loved kids and animals alike.  He liked to go hunting and camping with family.
Toby was working as a ranch hand of sorts when he became ill and was forced to slow down and take it easy. He also took care of the neighbor’s horses and took joy in watching them and their little ones, always having a little treat for them. He was an accomplished truck driver and followed in the footsteps of his older brother Mike and his father as a landscaper. He was also a wizard at carpentry and carved many beautiful works of wood. He was also known to make a mean meal in the kitchen by those close to him.
Toby is preceded in death by his father Jack Hamilton, his brothers Mike and Tracy Hamilton, and his sister Penny Hamilton-Isgrigg. He is survived by his mother Betty Hamilton, his brother Monte Hamilton, a sister Cody Sue (Bobby) Anderson, a sister-in-law Paula Hamilton, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life is planned for June 27 at 5:00 pm at Lewis Park in Wheatland.
