Funeral services for Teresa Lee (Kittell) “Teri” Griffin, 66, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2018, at the Fort Reno Building at the Wyoming State Fairgrounds in Douglas with Pastor Frank Wiederrecht of The Gathering officiating.
Teri Griffin died Friday, June 15, 2018, near Glendo.
She was born Tuesday, Jan. 8, 1952, the daughter of Ernest LaVerne and Barbara Lee (Wilhelm) Kittell.  She attended school in Wheatland, grades 1 - 12. Teri graduated from Wheatland High School in May 1970.
Teri married Peter Martin in 1972, who succumbed to cancer in 1980.
Teri and Jerry Griffin were married on June 4, 1983, and they resided together in Douglas for 36 years.
She graduated from University of Wyoming in 1988 with a Bachelor of Arts in education.  Teri taught in the Douglas school system for 16 years and at Eastern Wyoming College for eight years.
Teri was very involved in the community.  Some of her activities included Boys & Girls Clubs, Converse County School Board, Lions Club treasurer for years and treasurer of the Human Resource Council.  
She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter Martin; father, Ernie, on July 8, 1997; mother, Barbara, on Jan. 28, 1998; maternal and paternal grandparents; and her father-in-law, Jim Griffin.
Teri is survived by her husband,  Jerry Griffin; siblings James Kittell (Donna), Judy Kittell Phifer (Brook), and Gale Kittell (Connie); mother-in-law Marlene Griffin; brothers and sisters-in-law Gary Griffin (Kim), Richard Griffin (Michelle), Don Griffin (Kim) and Nancy Seichter (Rodger); plus many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A memorial to Teri Griffin Scholarship Fund in care of Converse County Bank, Drawer 689, Douglas, WY 82633 has been established by Jerry to further students’ post-high school education.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Converse Chapel of Douglas is in charge of the arrangements.
