A memorial service for Jon Robert Brayton, 65, will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 22 at Slater Community Hall in Slater with Pastor David Dick officiating.
Inurnment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
Jon passed away Thursday, June 6 at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
He was born Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1953 in Oklahoma City, Okla., the son of Robert and C. Elinor (Taylor) Brayton. He was employed by and retired from Burlington Northern – Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad.
Jon was preceded in death by his mother and father, Elinor and Robert; brother, Ray; and daughter, Jamie Ward.
Jon is survived by his wife, Arlene F. (Wilson) Brayton of thirty-five years; daughter, Leanne Warren and husband, Mike; three grandchildren, Austin and Cheyenne Warren and Steven Hieb; sister, Gail Shackelford and husband, Jerry; brother, Peter Brayton and wife, Barbara; and sister-in-law, Penny Brayton, as well as nieces and nephews.

The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland are in charge of the arrangements.
