CHEYENNE – Janice passed away peacefully in her sleep in Cheyenne on Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022. Janice was born in Denver, Colorado, but spent most of her childhood in Casper, Midwest and ending up in Wheatland, where she graduated from Wheatland High School in 1980.
She continued living in Wheatland until 2015 when she moved to Cheyenne to be closer to her son. Janice loved caring for animals, like the numerous cats she had during her childhood, and the birds she made sure got fed every day (no matter the weather).
Janice is preceded in death by her father, Larry Jones, and brother-in-law, Gale Shockey.
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Jones (Schmidt), her siblings, Dan Jones (Pat), Bonnie Shockey (Gale), Audrey Garcia (Raul), Dayton “Tom” Jones (Laura), Elaine Kejr (Eric), her beloved son, Shaun Jones (Tiffany) and her two grandsons who she adored, Gale and Asher Jones. A private family ceremony will be held in Savory in July.
