Longtime resident Helen Elizabeth Bray nee Browning was born Oct 13, 1945 and died Oct. 20.
She passed away at Mountain Towers Alzheimer’s Unit in Cheyenne. She was born in Broken Bow, Neb., the youngest daughter of Ruth and Ernie Browning.
She moved to Wheatland in 1954, graduated Wheatland High School. Was married with 10 children between marriages- Lem, Joy, Fred, Donna, Mara Vi, Boone, Rebekah, Julia, Emma and Phillip. She was a wife, mother and grandmother.
She worked as a switch board operator at Mountain Bell in Wheatland and Platte County Memorial Hospital as a cook, then nurses aid. She enjoyed bird watching, reading the Bible, crosswords, suduko, crocheting doilies and spending time with her grandkids, nieces and nephews.
Preceeded in death by parents Ruth and Ernie Browning, daughter Donna Baltz, granddaughter Krystal, grandson Danny Dixon, great grandson Colter Smith.
Survived by sister Judy Stanley, nieces Barbara, Elizabeth, nephews Danny, Larry, Steve, Keith and 22 grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great nieces and nephews.
Children Lem-Kazuko, Joy Dixon – Max(D), Fred – Linda, Mara Vi Bechtold- Jerry(D), Boone, Rebekah Straw –Henry, Julia Miller, Emma Myers – Don, Phil – Deanna.
Funeral services to be held at the Wheatland Bible Church, Wheatland on FridayOct. 26 at 11 a.m. with a lunch following the grave side service.
