LUSK – The Guernsey-Sunrise Vikings scored more points in their game last Friday night than they had previously scored all year. The Vikes lost the game 66-14, but their offensive point total shows improvement for a team who has had problems scoring.
“I thought we showed more improvement,” said head football coach Curtis Cook. “Our passing game produced a pair of touchdowns for Caleb Christensen and Kolten Weinkauf. Conner Bristow was able to punch in a 2-point conversation on the ground. We were able to gain yards on the ground and our defense caused some turnovers. Hopefully we'll be able to keep some momentum next week when we travel up to Moorcroft for the season finale.”
The final game of the season will be played at Moorcroft with a 6 p.m. kickoff scheduled.
