A funeral service for Frances V. Weber, 90, was held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Sept. 23 at the Community By Grace Church, 91 South Wheatland Highway, Wheatland.
Frances Weber passed away Tuesday, Sept. 17 at the Live to Assist in Fort Collins, Colo.
Frances was born Monday, April 22, 1929 in Denver, Colo. the daughter of Paul and Anna (Akey) Stevens.
Her father worked at the Guernsey Dam power plant during her first six years of school. The family moved back to Denver after which her father died of leukemia.
Frances is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Anna Stevens; husband of 63 years, Glen Weber on Jan. 15, 2013; and two younger sisters, Anna Marion Harris and Margaret Tomlinson.
She was survived by her younger brother, Paul Stevens of Altadena, Calif.; four sons, Glen (Connie) of Aurora, Colo., Gary (Diana) and David (Rose), all of Wheatland, and Joseph (Katrina) of Fort Collin, Colo.; two daughters, Karen (Jake) Sinner of Cheyenne and Lois (Rick) Peterson of Big Sandy, Texas; 19 grandchildren; and 38 living great-grandchildren. Frances was an accomplished pianist and played first chair trombone in an orchestra in Denver during her school years. The family spent many hours around the piano singing. Due to advancing dementia over the past five years, she lived with three of her children at different times and spent the past two years at an assisted living residence in Fort Collins.
