David L. Reynolds, 100, passed away Wednesday, April 8 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.
David Reynolds was born on Thursday, July 31, 1919 in Lewisport, Ky. the son of Lonnie and Allie G. (Sipes) Reynolds.
In 1936 David graduated from Lewisport High School in Kentucky. He attended Owensboro Business College in 1937. He married Margaret Griffin in 1939 and to this union one son, David Samuel was born in 1939. He later married, Allene (Armstrong) Coats in 1969.
David was a licensed and lifetime member of the Carpenter Union. He was also a member of the Wheatland Moose Lodge #1636, Masonic Order in Kentucky, and the Shriners in Kentucky.
Most of his working life David was a job superintendent on construction jobs all over the United States building Hotels, Motels, Masonic Temple, churches, and schools for twenty plus years. He retired in Dec. 13, 1983.
David is survived by his companion and friend, Sally Hurt.
David was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Reynolds on July 4, 2009; and son, David Samuel Reynolds on Feb. 12, 2017.
David will be buried at a later date in Ogallala, Neb. next to Allene.
