Wyoming Army National Guard dedicates new Ammo Supply Point Facility

PLATTE COUNTY — The Wyoming Army National Guard held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the opening of their new Ammunition Supply Point Administration Building in Camp Guernsey’s North Training Area last Thursday morning.  

Built at a cost of 1.6 million, the 2,400 square foot facility will enhance the effectiveness, security and safety of the Ammunition Supply Point mission to support training operations and soldier readiness for units training at Camp Guernsey.  Construction on the new facility began in March of 2022 and was completed in September, 2023. 

Guests attending the ceremony were Wyoming Adjutant General Gregory Porter, COL Toby Alkire, Chief of Staff, COL Jason Salsgiver, USPFO for WY, LTC Johnathan Dyer, Deputy USPFO, CSM Lindsey Schmidt, State Command Sergeant Major, CGSgt Joshua Moore, Common Senior Enlisted Leader, Rob Cain, Base Operations Manager, Past and Present Ammunition Supply Point Employees, CFMO Team and Camp Guernsey Staff.
