Quincy was born on Sunday, June 15, 1975, in Torrington the son of Kerry Allen and Clara Ann (Rietz) Powers.
Quincy has always been a gentle and caring person. Easy to find in any setting because of his tall stature, long red hair, and ability to strike a conversation with anyone. He cared of others more than he did himself. Kids were especially fond of being around his kindred spirit. You would never find Quincy without one of his beloved dogs, Amos and Daphnie.
Quincy attended college at Humboldt State, commercial fished in Alaska, and was employed in the service industry in Billings. He loved living in Stevensonville, Montana where he was employed as the head cheese maker and had a host of friends to have beer with over a bonfire.
He then moved back to Wheatland to work at Drube Hardware store and later to partner with his sister, Sally, in the local retail store Quintessentials, where he loved talking to people. He spent his remaining years on the family’s ranch and helped take care of his parents.
A funeral service for Quincy Adam Powers, 49, will be held at 10:30 A.M. Wednesday, June 26, 2024 at the First Christian Church in Wheatland with Pastor Casey Schroeder officiating. Interment will be in the Wheatland Cemetery.
