WHEATLAND – Last week, Platte County Chamber of Commerce director Shawna Reichert announced she is stepping down from her position of CEO of the chamber to pursue a new chapter in her professional journey. The board will be interviewing for a replacement beginning this week as they seek to have a smooth transition to a new director/CEO when Reichert leaves on Oct. 12.
In her letter to chamber members and the community, Reichert said, “The decision to leave this position was not an easy one. Over the years, I have had the privilege of working alongside each of you to promote and strengthen our businesses and community. Together, we’ve weathered challenges, celebrated successes, and accomplished things I am immensely proud of. I’ve learned so much from you all and will forever carry the friendships and partnerships that have shaped not only my professional growth but also my heart.”
She said she is leaving with mixed emotions, since she has served the community with six years of service to the Platte County Chamber of Commerce. Reichert also extended appreciation to the board of directors for their leadership and dedication to the membership. “…I am confident the Chamber’s future is in great hands with their stewardship,” she said.
“It’s been a true honor to serve this remarkable community, and I’m incredibly grateful for the trust and confidence you’ve placed in me….Platte County is not just five towns – it’s one community, and I have been blessed to witness that unity in action,” she concluded.
