Dear World Race,
I never expected these past 11 months to be what they were. I never expected to be heart broken for people I didn’t know. To cry for the orphans or have an ache to hug a prostitute and tell her she is worth more then the top bargain. I never expected to love 10 countries around the world, hurt when they hurt, and ache with sorrow when I couldn’t help them.
For this I want to thank you.
Thank you for the unexpected.
Thank you for giving me a family when I was thousands of miles from my own family.
Thank you for allowing me to meet and make friends with hundreds of people from different nations around the world.
Thank you for pushing me out of my comfort zone over and over and over again.
Thank you for showing me that change is not a bad thing and growth happens through change.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to share my stories with my community at home.

Thank you for pushing me to find the courage, grace, and love I didn’t know I had in me.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to speak Jesus’s name in 4 continent’s, 10 countries.
Thank you for opening my eyes to sex trafficking, poverty, prostitution, abandonment, and corrupt government.
Thank you for forcing me to be vulnerable with the people around me.
Thank you for putting me in positions where I had no choice but to listen for God’s voice and hear it.
Thank you for teaching me how much power is in a smile.
Thank you for allowing me to experience God’s creation and handiwork in other parts of the universe.
Thank you for instilling in me the desire to keep travelling.
Thank you for showing me that the simple life really is the good life.
Thank you for giving me small moments where my eyes saw what He sees, my ears heard what He hears, and my heart broke for what breaks His.
Thank you for completely and utterly changing my world.
Love,
Melanie

There is so much more I have learned or experienced over the past year, it would be impossible to write everything in a blog. If any of you are interested in hearing more about it, please let me know. I would love to get lunch and catch up on everything! I want to hear about y’alls year as well!
THANK YOU all again for the prayers, the donations, the encouragement, and for keeping up with me over the past 11 months as I bounced around. I still don’t have words to describe how much it means to me.
I hope y’all have been touched in some way through these blogs and maybe have even caught the traveling/missions bug yourself!
That’s all for now folks!
