Jean passed away in Oregon, close to her daughter’s home. Jean suffered a stroke in October 2017 and was never able to return home. Jean is preceded in death by her husband Richard “Dick.” They were lifetime residents of Dwyer and Wheatland. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Idella; two grandsons; her parents and in-laws.
Jean is survived by her daughters Shari Salvage and Terry Jorgenson. Terry and her husband, Andy, welcomed her into their home in 2015. She is also survived by her granddaughter Shilo and husband, Rick, and three great-grandchildren. Also she is survived by her extended family, Andy and Levi Garlett, and Andrea Garringer and her three children.
Jean was married in October 1945 after WWII was over. Jean worked in the medical field and banking. After she retired in 1984, she worked at the Best Western Motel and finalized her work experience at Taco John’s. Jean will be returned home to Wheatland to be buried by her husband of 49 years. A graveside service will be held May 26, 2018, at 10:30 a.m.
