Injuries occur during Lobos’ eventful weekend

WHEATLAND — The Wheatland Lobos’ 17 under team travelled to Laramie to compete against the Laramie Rangers on Tuesday, June 20. The Lobos defeated the Rangers 13-7. The Lobos had eight errors, but still outhit the Rangers 12-9. Pitchers were Mytchell Pollock and Joel Anderson.
On Thursday, June 22, the 17 under team played a home game against Cheyenne Prep and took another victory, 4-3. The winning pitcher was John Sarad and Kaleb Peterson got the save.

The 17 under team’s last game was at home against Laramie on Tuesday, but results were not available by press time. This game is followed by another home game against Cheyenne Prep on Thursday, June 29 at 5 p.m.
The 15 under team was scheduled to play a home game against Laramie on Wednesday, June 21, but the Laramie team was absent, and the game is in the process of being rescheduled. The new date of the game was not available by press time.
The 15 under team played two home games on Friday against Douglas and Cody. The Lobos emerged victorious in the first game against Douglas, 17-2, where Mytchell Pollock pitched all five innings. The Lobos fell in the second game against Cody, 7-24. Langdon Goodrich pitched the first inning, Noah Whitfield almost completed the second inning, and Blane Heimsoth finished the last two batters and pitched the third inning.
The 15 under team travelled to Douglas for another round of matches against Douglas and Cody on Sunday. The Lobos faced a close loss against the Cubs, 7-9. Ned Hageman pitched three innings, but then got a line drive right back at him at his elbow. Austin Warren took over after the first batter and pitched in the fourth and fifth innings. After this game, the Lobos fell to Douglas 2-20. Langdon Goodrich pitched the first inning and some of the second inning. Noah Whitfield pitched the rest of the second inning and some of the third inning, and Adam Suko took over and pitched the remainder of the game.
The 15 under team will play against the Scottsbluff 15u League in Scottsbluff on June 29 at 6 p.m. Their next game after this will be in in Torrington at on July 6 at 5 p.m.
