Funeral services for Harry William McGuire, 76, will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14 at the Saint John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Glendo with The Reverend Kathy Robinson officiating.  Interment will be in the Horseshoe Cemetery.
Harry McGuire died Saturday, Dec. 8 at the Platte County Legacy Home in Wheatland.
Harry was born Sept. 15, 1942 in Wheatland the son of James Henry and Marcella Anna (Kernan) McGuire.  He was raised and educated in Wheatland.  
Harry was married to Sandra Lee (McDannel) Meier on April 2, 2005 in Glendo.
He was a man of many trades; construction, concrete work, and carpentry.  Harry enjoyed the outdoors; fishing and hunting, but his true passion and talent was woodworking.  Harry had a true love for children of all ages and was always game for a great practical joke.  He will be missed by many.
Harry is survived by his wife, Sandy Meier; children, Michele McGuire and Brian (Kristine) McGuire; step children, Jay (Melinda) Meier and Sue (Mike) Conner; siblings, Joe McGuire, Martin McGuire, Gene McGuire, Willie McGuire, Jim McGuire, Charles McGuire, Celia Enniss, and Mary Norred; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, James, on Nov. 16, 1993; mother, Marcella, on Dec. 9, 2005; and three brothers, Francis McGuire, Mike McGuire, and Eddie McGuire.                                                                                   
A memorial to the Glendo Ambulance and EMS Services, P.O. Box 404, Glendo, WY 82213 would be appreciated by the family.
Harry’s family would like to give special thanks to the Glendo Ambulance and EMS Services, Platte County Memorial Hospital staff, Platte County Legacy Home staff along with Doctors Palmer, Cecil, and Peasley.
