WHEATLAND – The July artist of the month for Platte County Art Guild is Connie Eller was born in Cheyenne, but was raised and went to school in Wheatland. Her parents are Arlo and Micky Bowen. Connie attended UW where she majored in Science and Physical Edudation. In 2001 she married Jack Eller and moved to Glendo, where they reside on a ranch.
Connie taught and coached in Glendo for several years. From Glendo she transferred to the WMS until her retirement.  Currently she is on the Platte County school board.
Connie started painting about three ago with the encouragement of Kathy Hamar! She joined a group called the Painted Ladies. She states that she learned a lot from Kathy. Connie has sold a lot of her work but has also donated quite a lot to the Marge Cares foundation.
When Connie isn’t painting on saw blades, or barnwood, she is crocheting stuffies, or helping take care of her great grandchildren.
You can see Connie’s amazing Artwork at the Dance Wyoming studio in downtown Wheatland.
