Chugwater Chili Cook-off and roundup set for Saturday

CHUGWATER – The 38th Annual Chugwater’s Chili Cook-off and Roundup is scheduled for Saturday, June 15th at Staats Park in Chugwater. It will be a full day of family friendly events and activities. We have a variety of vendors selling their goods, an old car and truck show downtown by the Soda Fountain and Tri-County Mercantile, wagon rides in from the parking areas, a poker tournament starting at 11am, contests including a pie eating contest and jalapeno eating contest, and so much more.
The chili cook-off starts at 9 a.m. when the cooks start cooking their chilies. At 10 a.m. Brennan Scott Greene takes the stage with live music. Salsa samples get submitted for judging at 11:30 a.m. with public salsa tasting starting at that time.12:30 p.m. will hear Sterling Drake take to the stage. Chili gets submitted for judging at 1 p.m. followed by sampling by the public. At 2:30 p.m. The Cowboy Killers take the stage, followed by Cook-off awards at 4 p.m. then Mutton Bustin’ and bronc riding begin.
Stay late for the after-party concert and dance featuring Kenny Feidler and the Cowboy Killers. This is a fun-filled day that helps benefit non-profits in the town of Chugwater. If you are free stop on by. For more information or online tickets visit www.chugwaterchilicookoff.org.
