WHEATLAND – The last day before Christmas vacation has turned into a service day for the students of Wheatland High School. A project initiated by Ms. Susie Schomburg and former principal Frank Jesse, all students are required to spend this day the last day of the semester, doing two community service projects. These included writing Christmas cards to veterans, working at the Community Thrift Store, caroling and delivering cookies as well as the project

This group (Langdon Goodrich, Colten Jensen, Xavier Johnson, Cody Jenkins, Hunter Metz, Jared Leathers and Sheldon Harnish, and teachers Mr. Matt Hazen and Mr. Chase Christensen) were helping miniature golf initiator Tom Bramlet clean bricks for the miniature golf course to be started in the spring at the park. The bricks came from the old fire hall demolition by the late Tyler Dodge’s company when the fire hall was rebuilt. Tyler’s wife Nettie, donated the bricks for a good use. But they all have to be cleaned and it was a beautiful day to get the project started last Wednesday, December 20.
“These bricks will go around the edges of the holes,” Bramlet said. “Donations for this project are gladly accepted. Stop by the park and you’ll see a sign where it will be.”
