FORT BRIDGER — The Fort Bridger Historical Association, a chapter of the Wyoming State Historical Society, will host the society’s 2018 Trek the weekend of June 29  in Fort Bridger.
The Fort Bridger historic site interprets historic structures and remnants from five eras of occupation, which include the mountain men, Mormons, military and much more.

This year’s trek will include learning about the five eras of occupation. Trekkers will visit the original Fort Bridger Military Reserve marker at the 110th Meridian and tour the kilns at Piedmont and the Muddy Crossing on the Mormon Trail.
The event is open to the public and promises to give attendees a behind-the-scenes look at some of Fort Bridger’s most memorable times and places in history.
For registration details contact Martin Lammers or Martha Powers at 307-782-3842, or call society headquarters at 307-322-3014.
Registration forms can also be downloaded at www.wyshs.org, and are due no later than June 16. Attendees are encouraged to stay through July 3 for the re-enactment of the Fort Bridger 1868 Treaty signing.
