WHEATLAND – The Bulldogs split against Douglas on Thursday at home in Wheatland. Lady Bulldogs fell 27-73 while the boys won 60-48.
The Lady Bearcats dominated the whole game, despite the best efforts of head coach Michelle Coplen, the Lady Bulldogs ended up losing 27-73, pushing their overall record to 8-7 for the season. The Douglas Lady Bearcats are having a very good season, with a 17-1 overall record.
The boys varsity were able to control their game against Douglas; quarter after quarter, they were able to come out on top with a final of 60-48. This win puts the Wheatland Bulldog varsity record to 15-2 overall this season.
The next basketball action for our hometown Bulldogs is next Friday, Feb. 21, at the Doghouse starting at 5:30 p.m. with the Lady Bulldogs against Torrington’s Lady Blazers. Boys varsity will play after the conclusion of the girls' game. There is just one more home game after this weekend.
