Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp Inmate on Escape Status

Newcastle – Inmate James Michael Kennah is on escape status from the Wyoming Honor Conservation Camp in Newcastle, Wyoming as of 2:53 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2019.

Kennah is 5 ft. 8 inches and approximately 195 lbs.  He is a Caucasian, with brown hair, blue eyes and is 42 years old.

Inmate Kennah is serving a 3-6 year sentence for Buying, Receiving, Etc. Stolen Property Value $500 or more.  He was sentenced in 2019 out of Campbell County.  

Inmate Kennah was witnessed running down Highway 85 heading south toward Newcastle. Local law enforcement was notified and area residents were alerted as soon as the escape was confirmed. Additional staff was called back to the facility, and a full facility search took place. The inmate was not found on-site.  Staff from other WDOC facilities are responding to assist in search efforts.

Inmate should not be approached. If seen, call local law enforcement immediately.
