A funeral service for Wilma Ruth Kessler, 91, was held Friday, March 12 at Wheatland Cemetery in Wheatland with Pastor Casey Schroeder officiating.
Wilma Kessler passed away Saturday, March 6  at the Spring Wind Assisted Living Community in Laramie.
Wilma was born on Monday, March 3, 1930 in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.
Wilma and her husband Robert “Bud” moved the Wheatland so Bud could help build the power plant. They stayed here for 25 years. Wilma worked at the Eloxite Rock Shop for many years. Wilma and Bud loved to fish at Glendo Lake in Glendo.
Wilma is survived by her children, Jim (Marlene) Kessler, Kathy (John) Thomas, Linda Gray, Dave (Claudia) Kessler, and Fred (Val) Copenhaver; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert J. “Bud” Kessler on June 11, 2004 and brother, Ray.
A memorial to the Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary in Hartville at www.kindnessranch.org would be appreciated by the family. The family requests no flowers and would like the donation to the Kindness Ranch as animals were very important to her.
