WHS trap team still hopeful for state

WHEATLAND – The Wheatland High School trap shooting team had just had their first meeting of the second year of the team's existence when COVID-19 shut down all activities.
Wheatland took first at state last year - the first year the sport was offered in the state. More schools had signed up to participate this year and the season was lookin promising. Wheatland's own team welcomed many new members.
"The kids are practicing on their own and we hope to still be able to compete for the State Shoot in June," said leader Angie Kernan.
The Wyoming High School Activities Association has postponed the sprint sports season until April 20. There is still the possibility of canceling the entire spring sports program across the state.

Editor's Note: the WHSAA officially canceled all spring sports for for the season on April 7.
