WHEATLAND – Wheatland’s Khayla Otero poured in a team-high 12 points as the Lady Bulldogs dropped an 80-29 contest to top-ranked Douglas Saturday in Wheatland.
“Douglas is definitely the team to beat in 3A,” Wheatland coach Sally Nichols said. “They are strong, aggressive and deep. Khayla Otero attacked the Douglas defense well, showing poise and confidence. We have our work cut out for us in preparation for Gering and another tough conference game against Newcastle this weekend.”
Loren Man added six points, Kaesha Davis had four and Danielle Brow chipped in a team-high six rebounds.
