Wheatland High School Cross Country runners improve on times

KIMBALL – Both the girls and boys cross country teams ran well in last weeks Kimball XC Invitational, run at Four Winds Golf Course.

The top runner for the girl’s middle school team actually took first place. Raelyn Goff finished with a time of 10:52 and finished just a second in front of a Morrill runner. Alley Kiel was also in the top ten runners with a 12:23. Close behind her were June Gentle in 11th place and Jaylen Kaufman in 12th place.

“Both middle school and high school cross country teams had great improvements on time,” said head coach Colt Goff. “Congratulations to Ally Keil for placing 10th in MS girls and Tate Nichols for placing 6th in MS boys.”

The girls took fifth place in the invitational while the boys team took seventh place. For the middle schoolers, the girls took first place with 22 points and the boys also finished first with a team score of 50.
