Wheatland does well at snowy Douglas Invite

Posted

DOUGLAS – On yet another adverse weather week, the track team from Wheatland did well in the icy weather and snow flurries. It hasn’t been the best season for spring sports in Wyoming, but the teams are still managing to muddle through.

“We had a cold and windy day on Friday in Douglas,” coach Matt Hazen said. “But many of the athletes performed well. We had some snow flurries as well throughout the day, being our fourth track meet in what seems to be the shortest season of my tenure, I am very glad the meet happened. The weather has been a very limiting factor and we continue to hope it will improve as we push toward regionals and state.”
