We live in a selfish, materialistic world where people are seeking after worldly goods to please themselves. Sadly, this is even in our churches. We all need to take inventory of our heart and attitudes concerning this world. What are we seeking after and whom do we seek? Seek means to look for and go after. Our first and main focus is to be the Lord Jesus Christ and His righteousness. Then whatever we have need of, He shall supply! Let’s not allow the devil to deceive us and lure us with the world’s bidding. It holds nothing in comparison to what God has for us in this life and in the life to come.
The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. John 10:10
