A funeral service for Vivian L. Stille, 77, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Wheatland with Pastor Lincoln Winter officiating. Inurnment will be in Red Oak, Iowa at a later date.
Vivian Stille passed away Friday, Nov. 13 at Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
Vivian was born on Monday, Jan. 4, 1943 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Edward and Merna (Davidson) Harman, who farmed near Malvern, Iowa. After high school, Vivian moved to Boulder, Colo. in 1960 and attended Colorado State University. She met Morris Stille and was married to him in 1961.Vivian graduated with a degree in microbiology. During her career, she worked in hospital labs in Red Oak, Iowa, Maryville, Missouri, and Boulder, Colo. She retired from the Wyoming State Laboratory after working at Platte County Hospital for several years.
Vivian and Morris have two children, Tammy and Tad, and a baby boy lost in childbirth. They also have three grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Vivian’s hobbies included sewing, painting, riding horses in the mountains, and fishing. She liked to play cards with her friends, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed listening to music from the 50’s and 60’s.
A memorial to the Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 216, Wheatland, WY 82201 would be appreciated by the family.
