WHEATLAND – Wheatland High School senior vocalist Grace Hanni and sophomore trumpeter Bryley Waring were both selected to participate in this year’s All-State Choir and All-State Band.
Hanni, who is an accomplished vocalist and musician. She has also been part of the drama club and has served in several other student body positions.
“I Have to say that it was a great time, having the opportunity to play in such a big band, with great musicians,” Hanni said. Then being able to watch the Choir and Orchestra perform during the concert, simply amazing.”
Waring who has already created a niche not only in the WHS musical world and athletic arena most recently was asked to play with the local Army Band.
“Last year when Mr Bradley showed us our All-State audition scores, I was only 3 points off from making it, safe to say I was irritated with myself,” Waring said. “This year I wanted to make sure that that didn't happen again. I made it my main goal for the weeks leading to the audition, to work hard on the audition music. About a month after the audition, Mr Bradley informed me that I had made all state, obviously I was very happy with this.”
