WHEATLAND – Wheatland Bulldogs Danielle Brow and Zac Gunter both earned all-conference in the east conference after putting together solid seasons.

Brow put together a packed stat line throughout the winter, leading the Lady Bulldogs in every major category. She had 14.1 points, 6.4 boards and 1.8 assists per game, all of which were team-highs. She also led the way with 5.4 steals per game, which was just under four more per game than the second-highest mark for Wheatland.

In the conference, Brow was second in scoring, seventh in rebounding and first in steals. She shot 40 percent from behind the arc, which was tied for the best in the east. Among players across the state, Brow finished third in scoring, tied for first in steals and tied for second in three-pointer percentage.

Gunter was the lone Wheatland boy to earn all-conference when the dust settled at the end of the season. He finished the year averaging 5.1 points and 3.9 rebounds. His biggest contributions came in the form of assists, where he averaged 2.8 per game, and steals, with 3.1 per night. He ranked third in the conference and seventh in the state for assists, while sitting second in the east and third in 3A in steals.

In the boys’ all conference race, Buffalo led the way with four honorees, while Newcastle and Rawlins turned in three apiece. Torrington had two, while Douglas, Thermopolis, Worland and Wheatland each added a player to the squad.

Douglas led the all-conference voting for the girls with five players earning the recognition. Buffalo had three honorees, while Rawlins and Worland each had two. Rounding out the players earning the recognition, Newcastle, Thermopolis, Torrington and Wheatland each had one.
