Turmoil or peace?

Posted

We are living in very exciting times, especially for Christians. We have a whole Bible full promises and instructions on how to live a successful life, no matter how dark things get around us. I call the Bible my manual for success. People ask why I call it that. I say, “Would you fix your car with a computer manual?” Of course not! Well then why would we use something other than the Bible to heal our broken heart or give us guidance? God created us and He gave us the Bible to show us His instructions for success in all areas of our life.
If you are a child of God and are having doubts, fear or worry, then you need to be in the Bible to find how to get rid of these. I call these the “big three” that will pull us down. At times we can all allow one or all of these three to infiltrate our life. The difference between a believer and an unbeliever is that the believer has the Holy Spirit to help him, Bible to guide him, and prayer! The nonbeliever has nothing to hold on to!
I talk about hope a lot and we have a living hope! The Apostle Peter says, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” (I Peter 1:3).
The Resurrection of Jesus is what separates us from all other religions. Our God is alive! Our hope is in Jesus Christ fulfilling all of His promises to His children. Because of this living Hope, we can have perfect peace and then experience joy.
Joy is a calm delight knowing that everything is going to be all right! All this hinges on our living hope. People everywhere are looking for hope, peace and joy! Fellow Christians, it is our job to tell those around us that hope, peace, and joy can be theirs also! Come to Jesus!
