Timothy Franklin Dreas, 81, passed away Monday, Feb. 25 at the Goshen Care Center in Torrington.
Tim was born Sept. 22, 1937 in Vera Cruz, Penn., the son of Francis G. and Florence M. (Schoenly) Dreas. He lived a full life as a devoted husband, father, handyman and mobile home contractor.
Tim served in the army from 1956-1958 as a sergeant with the 82nd Airborne.
Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Francis G. and Florence M. (Schoenly) Dreas, wife, Margaret “Peggy” (Connors) Dreas, daughter, Kelly Jo Dreas, sister, Gloria (Dreas) Swallow and two brothers, Francis C. Dreas, Garfield L. (Erma) Dreas and one nephew, Todd Dreas.
He is survived by three sons, Timothy P. (Laura) Dreas of Grand Junction, Colo., Sean F.(Michelle) Dreas of Rockdale, Texas, Levi E. Dreas of Wheatland, three daughters, Lori (Darrel) Whinery of Wheatland, Terry (Bill) Leader of Cheyenne, Wendy Dreas of Toledo Wash., two brothers, Carlton T.( Emily)Dreas of Emmaus, Penn., Maynard L.(Barbara) Dreas of North Port, Fla., two sister in laws, Erma Dreas of Port Orange, Fla., Sheila Connors of Weatland, two brother in laws, Arthur Swallow of Sun City Center, Fla., and Joseph Connors of Pinedale, 12 grandchildren, seven great gandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, Mar. 2 at the Chugwater Community Center in Chugwater.
Pastor Don Mathis of Torrington was scheduled to officiate, but due to weather could not be present. Bill Leader filled in for him with a short eulogy.
