Susan Carnahan Ross 

Susan Leslee Carnahan Weaver Ross passed away peacefully on September 26, 2022 in Avondale, Arizona.   

Susan was born on July 5, 1948 in Ogden, Utah to Burton Carnahan and Audray Stafford. Susan has five siblings, Mike, Christine, Mathew, Melanie and Megan and a beloved step-father, Ben Jacobson.   

She grew up in Thatcher, Idaho until her high school years when the family moved to Grace, Idaho.  Susan graduated from Grace High School in 1966. After High School she attended one year of business college before returning to Grace to marry Robert Weaver on May 12, 1967.   Susan and Bob had four children, Jason, Angela, Melanie and Andrew.  They were later divorced.  While living in Grace, she was a stay-at-home mom while the children were young. Then later worked at Sanders Furniture, and the potato harvest for Jorgenson Farms.   

For a short time, she lived in Wheatland, Wyoming to live near her mother, Audray and sister Megan before finding her way to Arizona. There she met and married Ronald R. Ross on Feb. 22, 1999.  Two more sons were added to her family, Ray and Kyle Ross.   

Susan liked to sew, garden and collect decorative chickens.  

She is survived by her husband, Ron Ross and children, Jason (Stacy) Weaver of Goodyear, Arizona, Angela (Mike) Goddard of Wheatland, Wyoming, Melanie Limburg of Roy, Utah and Andrew (Heather) Weaver of Rochester, New Hampshire, Ray (Laura) Ross of Avondale, Arizona and Kyle (Danielle) Ross of Waddell, Arizona; her siblings, Mike (Kay) Carnahan, Christine (David) Fowler, Melanie (Jay) Greaves, Mathew (Loralee) Carnahan and Megan (Brent) Petersen.   

She was blessed with 18 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren with one more coming in December.  Also, many nieces and nephews.   

She was preceded in death by her parents, Burton Carnahan, Audray Stafford Jacobson, Ben Jacobson and a niece, Brandy Carnahan Jenkins.    

There will be a Celebration of Life at the American Legion Post 61 in Avondale, Arizona on October 29, 2022. An inurnment will be held in Bancroft, Idaho at a later date.
