WHEATLAND — The summer STEAM academy, located at Wheatland Middle School, is a free program for outgoing first- through eighth-graders that includes a variety of activities both educational and fun.
The program starts at 11:30 a.m. with free lunch in the cafeteria.

After lunch, the students head outside for a couple minutes of playtime, then they go to class based on age group.
Then they can participate in a variety of activities and crafts centered around this year’s theme: Superheroes.
After a brief recess, they go to a short, simple and fun activity to conclude the day, and go home at 3:30 p.m.
The summer program ends Aug. 3.
