Funeral services for Steven Charles “Steve” Geile, 61, will be held at 10:00 A.M. Monday, March 19, 2018 at the Wheatland Bible Church in Wheatland, Wyoming with Pastor Jason Iacovetto officiating.
Steven Charles Geile, died peacefully in his sleep in Cheyenne, Wyoming on Saturday, March 10, 2018.
Steve is survived by his son, Blaine Geile of Cheyenne; step-son, Josh (Dawn) Wilson of Douglas, Wyoming; brother, Mike (Cindy) Geile of Wheatland; and brother, Jeff (Debbie) Geile of Perryville, Missouri.  
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Barbara Geile, and step-daughter, Sabrina Marie “Bree” Wilson, on June 21, 2012.
He was born on Thursday, July 12, 1956 in Perryville, Missouri to Charles Edgar and Barbara Ann (Elder) Geile.  They lived on the family farm outside of Perryville in an area known as Silver Lake, Missouri during his early years.
Steve graduated from Perryville High School in 1974.  He then entered the United States Air Force and served in Germany before being discharged and settling back in Perryville.  
From around the age of 14, Steve played music with area musicians.  They performed numerous dances and events and he was very talented in the area of music having earned the Arion Award in high school.
He was an avid sports fan having played baseball in his early years and didn’t miss an opportunity to support HIS Saint Louis Cardinals.
He took jobs traveling on the road in the early 1980’s playing music at various clubs and organizations.  Upon settling in the Wyoming area, he took classes at the University of Wyoming in creative writing and met and married Marilyn Wilson.  She had two children, Josh and Sabrina, and together they had Blaine in 1994.  They later divorced.
During his tenure at Wheatland he worked various jobs, including serving on the Town Council and played music with Bluelight Special. He was a talented guitar player and writer of music.
In memory of Steve, the family would ask that you spend time with your loved ones listening to good music and with plenty of laughter.
