CASPER – They didn’t win either game they played and they didn’t win a trophy. But what they did bring home were memories of a special time that will remain with them for many years to come.

After beating some long odds to secure one of eight slots in the Class 1-A bracket, the Lady Vikings were noted as the “Cinderella” team of this year’s state basketball tournament, which played very well when it came to a bet Coach Troy Reichert made every year since he began coaching the girls.

And since a bet is a bet...Coach Reichert followed through in style, bringing the  girls to their first tournament game in a stretch limo and dressing in a full tuxedo to coach the first game.

Memories made for this team and proof positive that despite the scores, this team was a class act.
