Funeral liturgy for Shane Daniel McGuire, 46, was held Saturday, June 8 at the Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wheatland with Father Eric Sonjobo as the Celebrant. A Vigil for the Deceased was held Friday, June 7 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wheatland, with Deacon Terry Archbold officiating. Inurnment was held at the Wheatland Cemetery.
Shane went home to his Lord on Sunday, June 2 in Cheyenne.
He was born Sunday, Sept. 3, 1972 in Laramie the son of Daniel L. and Loretta (Mathias) McGuire.
Shane was loved by everyone who knew him.  Whether he was in Torrington, Wyoming, Harrison, Nebraska, Valentine, Nebraska, Douglas, Wyoming, Cheyenne, or Wheatland.  His laugh and smile were infectious. There wasn’t a job that Shane couldn’t do impeccably. Shane loved to rope and loved his family and friends which he had a lot of both.
He is survived by his father, Dan McGuire; mother, Loretta McGuire; siblings, Shawn (Shelly) McGuire, Stephen (Michele) McGuire, and Shannon (Clay) Brow; nieces and nephews, Kelsey McGuire, Corby (Lexi) McGuire, Molly and Teagan McGuire, Taylor, Danielle, and Rodee Brow; and grand nephews, Eamon McGuire and Hagen McGuire.
Shane was preceded in death by his brother, Sam McGuire; maternal grandparents, Delmer and Marjorie Mathias; paternal grandparents, Bernard and Edna McGuire; uncle, Pat McGuire; and cousin, Lindsey Dunham.
Heaven gained a great man, friend, and person on Sunday.  Shane will be greatly missed.
Serving as urnbearer was Corby McGuire. Honorary pallbearers were Kelsey McGuire, Molly McGuire, Teagan McGuire, Taylor Brow, Danielle Brow, and Rodee Brow.
In lieu of a memorial please say a prayer or two or ten for Shane.
The Gorman Funeral Homes – Platte Chapel of Wheatland were charge of the arrangements.
