WHEATLAND – Robert C. “Bob” Memmer, 88, passed away on Monday, Dec. 11, 2017, at the Platte County Memorial Hospital in Wheatland.
Bob was born Nov. 30, 1929, in Wheatland, the son of Blanie and Darlene (Wolcott) Memmer.  He attended Wheatland schools where he was active in music.
Bob attended a trade school after his 1947 graduation from Wheatland High School followed by joining the United States Army in 1948.  He saw active duty in Korea.  He met his wife Margaret Ryman in 1950 while stationed in Kentucky.  They married on Sept. 19, 1951, before he was shipped to Korea.  Upon his return to state side the couple settled in Wheatland.  Bob was a partner in the plumbing business with his father.  Many years later he was an over the road truck driver.
Bob was a member of the Masonic Lodge.  He liked to bowl and play cards.  He also liked to take walks.  
Bob is survived by his wife, Margaret Memmer of Wheatland; sons, Scot Memmer of Wheatland and Blaine (Diane) Memmer of Buffalo; grandchildren, Natalie (Rex) Maxwell of Kaycee, Stephanie Billings of Buffalo, and Levi (Erin) Memmer of Texas; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jean; and brother, Ralph.
Bob will be remembered for his good humor.
Services will be held at a later date.
