Sealed Bids for the Canal No. 1 Gate Replacement at the Sybille Creek Diversion will be received by Wheatland Irrigation District (District) at the District’s office located at 30 West Frontage Road, Wheatland, WY, 82201, until 2:00 p.m. local time on June 15, 2023. The project consists of constructing a concrete headwall to support two gates at the Sybille Creek diversion facility and includes, but not limited to: saw cutting a keyway into the existing concrete footing and walls, forming new concrete walls, and tying and installing rebar. Removal of the existing gates and construction of a cofferdam will be performed by the District prior to the construction of the new wall. The District will be responsible for attaching the gates once the wall is complete. This is a project dependent on the water season and can only commence after water deliveries are finished for the season, typically after September 15.

Bidding Documents may be examined and obtained at the office of Wheatland Irrigation District, 30 West Frontage Road, Wheatland, WY 82201, ATTN: Nathan Graves, 307-322-2740, n.graves@wheatlandirrigation.org, on Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Copies of the Bidding Documents are free.
There will not be an onsite pre-bid conference; however, a guided tour of the project site provided by the District is strongly encouraged.
A bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, as required by Wyoming Statute § 15-1-113, must be submitted with each bid.
The Bidder to which the Contract is awarded will also be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price.
Pursuant to Wyoming Statute § 16-6-106, “preference is hereby given to materials, supplies, agricultural products, equipment, machinery and provisions produced, manufactured or grown in Wyoming, or supplied by a resident of the state, quality being equal to articles offered by the competitors outside of the state”.
