Unapproved Record – The Board of County Commissioners, Platte County, Wyoming, met on the 2nd day of May 2023 in the county seat of Wheatland. Those present for the meeting were Steve Shockley, Commission Chairman; Kayla Mantle, Commissioner, who joined via Zoom video call; and Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk. Chairman Shockley called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM. Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the agenda as presented. The motion carried. Bid Approvals: Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the bids from T&C Landscape Dirt Works for Courthouse landscaping. The motion carried. Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve a bid by Laramie Peak Motors for the purchase of a vehicle for the Planning Department. The motion carried. Planning & Zoning: Doug Dumont, County Planner, presented two building certificates from Christopher & Aubrey Atwood and Mark & Carol Bettridge for approval. The Board examined, and approved, both building certificates. Planner Dumont also presented a simple subdivision request made by Leander & Gayle Mausbach who requested to divide an approximately 6.71-acre parcel. The property is described as part of the E ½ NW ¼ of Section 27, Township 24 North, Range 68 West. The Board examined, and approved, the request. Planner Dumont presented the final plan for the Hauck Simple Subdivision. The Board reviewed and approved the final plat. Encroachment License: The Board reviewed, and approved, an encroachment license from Michael & Genelle Petsch. Fire Warden: Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve the Wildland Fire Management Annual Operating Plan. The motion carried. Y-O Ranch ISD: Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve Resolution #2023-06 approving the collection of charges for the Y-O Ranch Improvement & Service District. Britania Land Exchange: Commissioner Mantle motioned, seconded by Chairman Shockley, to approve Resolution #2023-07 opposing the Britania Land Exchange. The motion carried.
