Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the agenda. The motion carried. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve Requisition #8 from the Courthouse Improvement Fund in the sum of $3,966.56. The motion carried. May 2020 Collections: Malcolm Ervin, Clerk - $15,735.30; Circuit Court of the 8th Judicial District - $14,155.00; Mona McAuley, Clerk of District Court - $1,501.50 Tax Cancellation: Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the tax cancellation for tax year 2019 for Harold & Deborah McVay in the sum of 1,698.34. Road & Bridge: Superintendent Angle informed the Commissioners of upcoming road closures for culvert replacements. Mr. Angle said Wendover Rd. at the railroad crossing would be closed on June 10th and Badger Rd. would be closed at some point soon for two days, but he had not finalized a date yet. Mr. Angle had received a quote for an above-ground 10,000-gallon fuel tank from True North Steel for approximately $20,000. The Commissioners agreed Mr. Angle should proceed with the purchase. Road & Bridge would like to remind everyone that pursuant to W.S.S. §24-1-116 and Wheatland Irrigation District rules, irrigators should adjust to avoid watering on County roads. Executive Session: Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to call for an executive session for personnel matters, pursuant to Wyoming State Statute §16-4-405(a)(ii) at 10:02 AM. The motion carried. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to resume the regular meeting at 10:26 AM with no decisions being made in executive session. The motion carried. Courthouse Renovation: Greg Orr, Project Manager, updated the Commissioners about the Courthouse renovation project. Mr. Orr said the blueprints for the Courthouse have been digitized and have proved to be very beneficial. 4-H Building Reconstruction: Greg Orr, Project Manager, updated the Commissioners about the 4-H Building Reconstruction project. Mr. Orr said only one bid was received for framing and the bid was higher than budgeted so a new bid for framing will be released soon. Mr. Orr would recommend proceeding with the budget proposed by Sampson Construction so the project can proceed on schedule. Special District Budget Discussion: The Commissioners examined proposed budgets for FY21 from the Senior Citizens Service District – presented by Rose Martinez – and from the Antelope Gap Fire District – presented by Toni Weber and David Weber. Department Budget Requests: The Commissioners examined requested budgets for FY21 from the Fair Board, Library Board, IT, Ag. Extension, Commissioner and Administration (formerly Miscellaneous General) departments. Platte County Fair Board: The Fair Board also asked how the Commissioners feel about proceeding with County Fair for 2020. The Commissioners encouraged the board to work with the Public Health department but overall were in favor of continuing. FY21 Audit: mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve the audit engagement letter for Leo Riley & Company for fiscal year 2020 – 2021 and allow Chairman Kontour to sign. The motion carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned at approximately 2:30 P.M.
