Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich to approve the agenda. The motion carried. Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley to approve the minutes from the last regular meeting. Collections: Sheriff - $1,431.25 Tax Cancellation: Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve the tax cancellation for tax year 2019 for Douglas & Cynthia Jackson in the amount of $3,267.11. The motion carried. Camp Guernsey: Colonel Huss, Garrison Commander, updated the Commissioners on activities around Camp Guernsey. Colonel Huss informed the Commissioners that June will be the busiest month in camp history. Financial Report: County Treasurer Kristi Rietz presented the financial report for the month ending January 31, 2020. Liquor License – Public Hearing: A public hearing was called to order at 9:30 AM to consider the renewal of six liquor licenses and one new application for a full retail liquor license. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the six renewal applications as presented. The motion carried. Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve the new retail liquor license application as presented. The motion carried. Copies of those licenses and applications are available for inspection in the Office of the County Clerk. Planning & Zoning: Planner Clark presented four building certificates for approval from Nathan Shasteen, Norb Olind Construction on behalf of Julia Burke, Norb Olind Construction on behalf of Raymond and Pamela Killion, and Robert Stamp on behalf of Eight-Eight Oil, LLC. County Maintenance Department: Jim DeWitt, Maintenance Superintendent, updated the Commissioners on recent maintenance projects concerning County facilities. Courthouse Renovation Project: Greg Orr, Project Manager, updated the Commissioners about the Courthouse renovation project. Tim Belton, Malone Belton Abel, presented updated drawings for the dispatch center and Courthouse renovation project. The Commissioners agreed with the drawings and collectively agreed that the project was ready to proceed with the proposed drawings. Mr. Orr presented a proposed schedule and informed the Commissioners he had begun advertising for a CMAR. The proposed schedule shows construction should begin in the summer of 2020. Mr. Orr presented Amendment #1 to the agreement between Malone Belton Abel P.C. and Platte County, in order to cover for a differing timeline between the Courthouse and dispatch projects. Mr. Orr believed the amendment was justified. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve Amendment #1 to the agreement between Malone Belton Abel P.C. and Platte County Commission in the amount of $13,362.00. The motion carried. 4-H Building Reconstruction Project: Greg Orr, Project Manager, updated the Commissioners about the 4-H Building Reconstruction project. Mr. Orr believed a design had been finalized and presented a potential timeline which shows construction should begin in the summer of 2020. A press release will follow soon to informing the public when the 4-H Building would be closed. IT Update: Jordan Ham, WyoLogic Inc., updated the Commissioners about recent IT projects. Road & Bridge: Superintendent Angle spoke to the Commissioners about new equipment purchases. The Commissioners agreed that Mr. Angle should purchase two pickups in this fiscal year. The Commissioners asked Mr. Angle to travel to Yuma, Arizona to inspect a potential water truck purchase. County Clerk: County Clerk Ervin spoke to the Commissioners about his proposed personnel policies that have been received by each elected official.
