Specific Purpose Excise Tax Requisitions Approved for Payment: Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve Requisition #3 from the Fairgrounds Improvement Fund in the sum of $19,312.18. The motion carried. Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve Requisition #3 from the Courthouse Improvement Fund in the sum of $6,859.70. The motion carried. Collections – Approved: Malcolm Ervin, County Clerk - $12,012.95. Mona McAuley, Clerk of District Court - $2,683.50. Circuit Court of the 8th Judicial District - $21,297.00. Road & Bridge: Superintendent Angle updated the Commissioners on recent snowstorms. Mr. Angle informed the Commissioners that Tank Farm Road is holding up but is constantly degrading. A discussion was held about a wrecked Road & Bridge truck that needs to be replaced. The Commissioners asked Mr. Angle to begin looking at a new truck to replace the wrecked one. Mr. Angle also presented an encroachment permit for approval from Bridger Pipeline, LLC. Lakeshore Drive: Superintendent Angle informed the Commissioners that Wyoming State Parks indicated they were willing to assist in paying for a chip seal project on Lakeshore Drive near Glendo. The Commissioners agreed that Mr. Angle should inform Wyoming State Parks that Platte County is willing to authorize the project in the next budget if Wyoming State Parks were to assist in paying for materials. Reliance Construction Consulting: The Commissioners spoke to Mr. Greg Orr, Project Manager, via phone. Mr. Orr updated the Commissioners about the status of the 4-H Reconstruction and Courthouse Renovation projects. Mr. Orr said a lot of design work has taken place and the two projects will proceed with actual construction in the near future. Eric Johnston, former County Commissioner, was in attendance and encouraged the Commissioners to create a press release so the public can read about the amount of work that has taken place in the design phase for both projects. The Commissioners agreed and tasked Mr. Orr with creating that release. Designation of Official County Newspaper: Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to appoint the Platte County Record-Times as the official county newspaper. The motion carried. County Engineer Appointment: Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to reappoint Hal Hutchinson as the county engineer for a one-year term expiring December 31, 2020. The motion carried. Resolution #2020-01: Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve resolution #2020-01 entitled, “Platte County Statement of Investment Policy.” The motion carried. Resolution #2020-02: Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve Resolution #2020-02 entitled, “Authorizing the release of monies prior to each county payroll distribution via direct deposit.” The motion carried. County Clerk: Clerk Ervin updated the Commissioners about the status of the new County website, which should be live by the end of the week.
