RECORD OF THE OCTOBER 1ST, 2019 PROCEEDINGS OF THE PLATTE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS IN WHEATLAND, WYOMING

The regular meeting of the Board of County Commissioners was called to order at 9:15 A.M. with the following present: Sandy Kontour, Chairman; Steve Shockley, Commissioner; Ian Jolovich, Commissioner; and Cary Shubert, Deputy County Clerk. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the agenda. The motion carried. Mr. Jolovich motioned, seconded by Mr. Shockley, to approve the minutes from the last regular meeting. The motion carried. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to approve the vouchers as presented. The motion carried.

Road & Bridge:
Superintendent Angle presented one encroachment license from Wendell Eagan for approval.   Superintendent Angle informed the board that he had received a request from the public to lower the speed limit on Glendo Park Road. At this time the Board chose to take no action due to previous attempts to reduce the speed on Glendo Park Road failing.

Planning & Zoning:

Planner Clark presented three building certificates from Kelly Burrows, Joe Mesa, and Virgil Russon for approval.

Emergency Management:  
Terry Stevenson, Emergency Management Coordinator, spoke to the board regarding programs and classes he had attended. Mr. Stevenson also informed the board about equipment upgrades that will need to take place in the future.

County Clerk:
Clerk Ervin discussed two MOUs with the Board and comments that had been made by County Attorney Doug Weaver. Clerk Ervin then presented a credit application for a Sourcewell gas card for approval. The gas card will be for the Sheriff’s Office.

Fair Board:
Beth Douglas, Bill Klein, and Shawn Rupert met with the Board to discuss the 4-H Building Reconstruction project.

Executive Session:
Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to call an Executive Session at 11:25 A.M. to talk about personnel issues, pursuant to W.S. §16-4-405(a). The motion carried. Mr. Shockley motioned, seconded by Mr. Jolovich, to resume the regular meeting at 11:57 A.M. with no decisions being made. The motion carried.

There being no further business the meeting adjourned at approximately 12:00 p.m.
